The Countdown

Landon is coming home. SOON! I have had quite a few friend get their missionaries home lately and they were all wishing it was farther away because they weren't ready to deal with it. I, on the other hand, cannot wait! I will admit I am starting to get more and more nervous as the days go by, but I am not wishing him to come home a day later than he is scheduled to.

October 17, 2012 is the day! Thinking about how much has happened in the last two years is kind of overwhelming. When I really think about it, these two years have gone by really fast. Sure I have had my days and still have them where it seems like an eternity, but truly time does fly. These pictures are evidence of that.

Look at that chain...it's down to nothing! I have lots of countdowns going on...my sister and I also have jars of Skittles for each day left, we eat one every morning. The little bit of OCD in me came out in that project and I had to layer the Skittles from my least favorite kind to my favorite and I currently have about 10 more green ones which are the middle ground. Only purple and red left! :)

I also have bookmarked a website that has my countdown saved for me, since I am not fortunate enough to have a fancy phone with a countdown app! At this very moment this is what it looks like:

66 Days
1599 Hours
95995 Minutes
5759704 Seconds...and counting!

That is the wonderful thing about time...no matter what I am doing, time is moving and that is one second, minute, hour, or day closer to him being home. That makes this girl pretty dang happy! I am so thankful for these two years. I wouldn't have wanted it to be any other way. Happy Saturday :)

I love this boy!

Summer is almost over...

I have a bunch of posts I have started and never finished, but I wanted to do one quick one tonight. Summer is almost over...where in the heck did the time go? I work so much, but I also have had so many wonderful nights with friends and family. Some things I did this summer:
Statues in front of the Nauvoo temple
Nauvoo

Bee's baseball games

                           LOTS of weddings
Welcomed home a good friend from a mission
Worked too much    Registered for school    Played volleyball

The Piano Guys Concert
Visited my new favorite place in the world...Cokeville, Wyoming
Wrote a lot of letters
Watched a lot of softball games                       Glow in the dark bubbles

It wasn't the summer I had in mind, but it was good and I hope the last few weeks of summer bring some good memories along with them. It's my last summer without Landon and I couldn't be happier about that! He will be home in 75 short days. I can't wait for my best friend to be home again! I hope all of you have had a fantastic summer! Make the days count...
